A 2005 USC with a shitty defense lost to Vince Young. Their 2004 defense was pretty solid.
And a Nick Saban-coached 2010 Bama squad lost to LSU, USCe, and Cam Newton.

Oh, don't get me wrong..both of those teams would have kicked this Bama teams arse. Those were historically great teams.
