That LCR has a smooth trigger

Anything for CC will be loud. A short barrel is the culprit of that.
The Ruger LCR is a great revolver. So is the S&W air weight.
Are you dedicated to sticking with a 38? I love my Kahr CM9 and its very shoot able. Then again, it's got a pretty stiff action and may take some practice to actuate.

You can get at the trigger with a trigger job (at least on Smiths) but the other 2 will be there with any snubby.
How does she carry this gun? Most things that make a pistol good at carrying are bad for shooting. Maybe look for a thin single-stack nine?
