1) When your offense is predictable, plays get sniffed out. Oftentimes this gets erroneously dismissed as faulty execution.
What I really do not understand is how we have gotten so predictable that we cannot get even one yard when we need it on third down. Is it the scheme, the formation, the speed of the play, line calls,???
Watch other games and see what I am referring to. I watched Stanford run the ball down Wisc's throat and they knew who was going to get the ball and pretty close to where. They did not have this problem. So why have we gone to a situation where five guys are meeting the ballcarrier at the handoff or there are so many people in the hole you couldn't squeeze a piece of broom straw through it.

There is a difference between knowing pass/run, and knowing it is going to be a toss- dive, knowing what guard it's going behind, and have practiced against it all month.
They don't just know our tendencies, they know all our plays, and they know exactly when we'll call them.
