rough estimate of what a week, month? I mean does 30 years mean from today (1/1/43) or could it be mid July 2043?

Sounds like he was but whether he was or not he was to Old Joe, that's all the really matters to him.

Did he know his mother was killed by a looper? They couldn't have been the only ones killing people in the past, maybe he figure it out, but for all we know, all he knew is she was killed in front if him and he was angry, alone and had this enormous power. Regardless, I think that was the point, all these actions have consequences, but in the end we all make a choice.
