I did....and was pretty shocked at how many interested parties there were. Will be curious to see if they actually contribute though
If you or OG are going to spearhead this thing, maybe you could get a Paypal account set up for contributions. I'll pay for a PO Box at LSU for 2-3 months if people wanted to send checks. I'm in Houston so someone in Baton Rouge could take over the deposits if it gets to that point.

Again, I'm not in Baton Rouge and hope someone who has the know-how and contact with Lamar can get this done.
As far as setting up a PayPal account--I have one. However, if I start receiving contributions and Lamar won't do it or some other snafu happens I would want to be sure I could refund everyone.
Surely someone on here will read this and make this happen.

Have a fund setup at a chase bank or something would be convenient for everyone especially out of staters. They could transfer money from their bank accounts to the fund in a matter of minutes.
It would send a loud message to the LSU administration that 7,000 fans contributed $5 each instead of just one person donating 35k.
The lines of people walking into banks to donate would get lots of press.
