I'm not here to call anybody lazy or anything. That's just the only reason I personally ever do it. I didn't know if other people were doing it because they think they might see a deer at any given second or if they're lazy or what. I've never asked anybody I knew because when I see it happen, it's always everybody there doing it except me.
Seems like people who hunt together seem to share almost the exact same safety habits as those around them.

I know your not, I was saying that about myself because I cant think of a good reason as to why I dont completely unload the gun while on the 4wheeler.
My brother was just puting a new Timney trigger in his 270 WSM the other day and had a round in the barrel that he didnt know about. Loosened off one of the screws to take the old trigger out and POW, shot a whole in the brick wall in his brand new house. Luckily he was the only one home at the time and nobody was hurt.
