You are giving me ESPN stats?
No wonder you were wrong.
Try the official ones---NCAA.
Same stats. You are just looking at different ranking criteria. LSU was ranked a whole whopping 78th on that one

ZM wasn't struggling at the end of the year with the offense unless you call 300 yards passing against Alabama struggling
ZM put together 2-3 good games then regressed vs Arkansas. Both JL and JJ were more highly rated the previous year than ZM
It isn't a ZM issue, it's a systematic problem. Everyone with a brain not encased in a head shoved up Les Miles arse can see this obvious problem.

shut down any really long routes or routes across the middle once we hit the road. So frustrating.

Unfortunately though he had to take LSU losses with JJ playing shitty.

Very. I still think he has great potential based on the Bama, MSU and partially the Ole MIss games.

Find an offensive John chavis?

I'm thinking hiring a real OC could certainly help.
LSU isn't devoid of talent, there is no reason the offense has to be as sluggish as it is at times. This team, this year...could have been 12-0.
LSU doesn't have a QB problem. It has a problem with QB's playing in the offense. Even last year when the offense was good vs shitty competition, it really struggled against the two good defensive teams it faced.

He was 16-29 for 216 TD. Considering the numbers our QBs put up on recent years, I'd hardly call that regressing.
Is Les Miles a great offensive coach? No. But if you can't see that he's figured out how to let Mett run a solid offense then I can't help you

Good games? Regressed?
Are you blind?
ZM's play before Alabama was mediocre to bad. From Alabama it was outstanding to good. ZM passed for 1100 yards in those four games.
You want to tell us a time JJ or JL did that or a time any LSU QB did.
Took Zach time, but he improved and the offense diversified.
If you had a brain not shoved up your arse, you could see the obvious improvement from the first six or seven games.

he had good games prior to Bama, though he did have a bit of a lull with his accuracy midseason against SC and aTm. I think the improvement on the back end was more the OL and the WRs than Mett.

When ZM learns to quit overthrowing recivers hes gonna be tough.
Actually that's something JLee did well, kid could throw the fly route on the money.

He's throwing passes to defensive backs during warm-ups before a game.

He played average at best vs Arkansas. His rating in that game equaled his season rating which was worse than JL's and JJ's the previous season

Will see.

Oh we saw a little improvement. Mainly vs Bama and Miss St. His last two games were average. 1 TD, 2 INT's and less than 60 percent completion pctg.
His talent level is immeasurably better than the previous two, but as it goes to show, any QB will struggle, no matter how good..in this offense.
If JJ and JL were so awful, why did they have a better passer rating last year than the QB did, this year?

Both were above average SEC QB's by their senior years. I don't think we would have lost either game this season if we would have still had either Lee or Jefferson this season. Mett is a work in progress and I believe he is going to break out next season as he was improving by leaps and bounds as this season progressed. By the end of the year he was a pretty decent QB.

I'm not going to count the three walkover games, but Washington was a good game for him.
Auburn, Florida, So. Carolina, and Texas A@M had Zach with an average Passing Efficiency of 91 and average passing yards per game of 140.
Everything from Alabama to the end of the season far out distanced anything Zach had put up before Alabama.

After he got cut he was in BR playing golf. He told a friend of mine he hasn't bought a beer in 5 years so he was just going to chill out for awhile. Whatever that means.

Anthony Jennings is a much better quarterblack than Hayden Rettig.

What is it with you and the Arkansas game?
Do you know in that regression game of ZM's, as you call it, Zack passed for more yards than JJ and JL did in any of the 14 games they started last year?
Let it go. Zack's last four games are better than anything JJ and JL put up in a row in their four year career's.
