Loved Season 1. Hated Season 2 - it felt rather pointless to me especially all the tail section stuff. Seasons 3,4,5 were all pretty good and kind of meshed together for me.
Season 6 was disappointing.

I might have a different opinion after I rewatch the series again just because I know basically what happens. The first time I watched it though when everything was new, I loved season 2 just because the show hadn't gotten too "out there" yet.
SPOILERS....
We were figuring out who some of these new strange people are and trying to get off the island. Later on though when we were introduced to time travel, dharma, leaving, coming back, the donkey wheel, resurrection, possession, JOINING dharma in the 70s, etc. etc. etc. it just kind of took the show in a completely different direction.

Not that I minded any of that really, because LOST is still my 2nd favorite show of all time. I just think that's why I like seasons 1 and 2 so much though, because it was still all so simple.
