He is entering the final year of his contract at $15. I can choose to extend him for $5 for every additional year I choose. In a 12-team ROTO league, he is probably valued at around $45. However, I do not want to extend over $30. My belief to maximize value for him is to up him to $20 and trade him mid-season for an even better bargain. What do y'all think?

I have already committed myself to keeping three OFs of the my four with Morse ($1) and Adam Jones ($5).

Well then keep him for the next 3 years and then move him. Even at $30, he's a bargain and you'd still be able to maximize a return package. I would definitely not move him prior to your max keeping price.

Keep him. Enjoy.

Same with my league; I have Trout through this seasons @ $2 and I'm going 3, maybe 4 years to keep him beyond that. Unlike your league, the one I'm in is AL-only so everyone tends to get a shite player at some spot.

Can you explain how this works? Do you pay real money? How much do you have to play with? Where can I go to look into this it sounds like a really cool thing for baseball especially.
A link would be awesome

Pay for Trout until his price goes above Miggy, Braun, etc. He is worth even for a small bargain. Trade him only when you cannot keep him any longer.

This is all assuming Trout puts up relatively similar numbers as in 2012.
