I think Breaking Bad and Sopranos are both great, and will have to see how BB ends before I decide which I like better.

The story line with both is great and unique. Even The Sopranos' mob-based story. It looks much further into religion and family than most other mob shows or movies.

BB basically writes the main character from this sympathetic, cancer victim to an unlikeable a-hole.

The unique thing about The Sopranos is Tony is a neanderthal a-hole the whole series and you can't help but love him.

The viewer is supposed to connect with tony at times and Identify with him on some level, but we are meant to despise him for all of the horrible things he does. There is no moral ambiguity in the show. I identify Occassionally with tony, and I want him to "win" but I'm often disgusted with him. It's really 50/50 for me until the final season. At that point he has really no redeemable qualities

Breaking bad has gotten better with each season where I thought the sopranos feel off after season three.
