Both, the results are obvious. But it seems our go to play out of a timeout with the game on the line is try and get Ryno open for 3, if that isn't there, Vasquez goes iso and wastes 10-15 seconds for a low percentage shot.

If the lack of talent prevents players from getting to right spot or seeing the open man on a well designed play, it will look like a clusterfrick.

That would be the most efficient shot choice on this team. In crunch time, defenses will do everything to avoid a Ryno 3. And with no Gordon, no one else scares a defense.

I agree that this is bad. I would rather let Rivers do that, he might at least get into the paint.
The results suck and it's frustrating. But writers like Zach Lowe and Rob Mahoney have been very complimentary of Monty's offensive work this season. I linked at least one Mahoney article (LA game recap) where he praised the sets the team runs and how effective they've been given the lack of offensive talent.
