Cant do thicker shelves...in order for me to get 3 full usable shelves (2 that can handle standard BTAC sized bottles and 1 for 4 roses sized) I have just enough room. I actually have to space the top shelf up about 1/2" so the bottles fit under it. I am either going to run some wood strips on the back edge of the shelf (just a little one on the front), maybe a thin sheet of metal of some sort glued to the underside of the shelf, or maybe just full metal shelves. Same thickness as the wood but way stronger.

wick I have not but that sounds like a hell of a idea!

Nola, that has to be a conversation your builder hasn't ever had...sorry, the shelves you installed aren't sturdy enough to handle my liquor supply.

Wick, I add GM regularly to mine. Not much, maybe 1/3 or 1/4 the rye I put in. Gives that nice orange flavor.
