They typically dont sell junk to be honest, I wouldnt say you are retarded, you could def buy different uppers for a good AR if you were to find one.

For example, you find a Bushmaster, you can buy a CMMG .22 upper to plink with and save money, and you can buy a .300 AAC BLK to shoot the heavier rounds if you get into that someday. Whatever you feel like shooting that day, knock out two pins, switch lowers, push pins in, and there you go.

Unless the one you buy comes with a polymer lower, I'd leave it as is and work on a build as you can get parts.

I agree with hashbrowns, if you happen to find something this weekend, you can be more patient and build something else if you are interested, then you can always sell one if you arent interested in keeping both.

So I can use the same lower for all the uppers?

Yep. Not at the same time of course

But once you get one, you will see, its two push pins that attach an upper and lower, knock them out, switch them out, and push them back in. Like a new rifle every time.

Sweet. I knew it was easy to take apart but not that you could get different uppers for the same lower.

So the .223 is and AR-15 but does the .300 have an AR tag name or another name?

So do you keep every one of your mags loaded or just a few and rotate them to let the spring reexpand?

An AR-15 can cover the .223, the 5.56, and the .300 AAC BLK.

Also, be sure to buy a weapon chambered for 5.56, you can shoot .223 out of a 5.56 chamber, but you CAN NOT SHOOT 5.56 OUT OF .223 CHAMBERS.

No idea what's best TBH... I leave a few loaded incase the shtf mid night and leave the rest unloaded. Some say you can keep em loaded and it won't hurt em... Not too sure. With them possibly being banned, I want to make those babies last as long as possible.

I keep mine loaded. Springs only wear out when they're used. It is perfectly fine to leave them loaded or unloaded. Up to you.

Wth a single stage, how many can you realistically load in a 3-4 hr sitting?

I can't wait to start reloading

It's hard to believe, but all the experts insist keeping mags loaded doesn't hurt the spring one bit.

I wish I could make myself believe that.
