Yeah that plate not sitting flush is kinda aggrivating. Also, it's hard to see cause it's blurry, but that looks an awful lot like the detent showing through that gap in the second to last pic. If it is, you got it in backwards. You drop the detent in first for that one, then the spring.

Also that rear takedown pin is in backwards, the head is suppose to be on the same side as the head of the front pivot pin. Looking good otherwise

Roger, just looked pretty shiny like a detent.

Guess its possible, especially if you also have the slotted side of the pin facing towards the front instead of the rear towards the detent.

I fixed it now, I know it's all in place correctly now, there's an ever so slight bend to the plate I think from me bending it when I had it wrong. I may swap that shite out with one that has a sling attachment anyways. Bum shiner has reversed a bit too

That or i imagine you could put it in a vice and bend it right back. Running the risk of blacking that other eye though

Awesome. Same here as well. Not my first AR, but first lower I've ever put together. Just finished it. Red Jacket Lower with a Palmetto State lower build kit that was at my front door when I returned from work today. Still hunting up an 18 or 20 inch complete upper.

Anytime. On a side note I also like to use those EA lowers for my builds to keep a little Louisiana flavor in my rifles.

If like to get one if those EA lowers for just that reason too. Not that I need another AR or stripped lower, I just think it'd be cool to have one made right down the road in Crotch Springs
