their recruiting success has nothing to do with them joining the SEC this year. They would still have sumlin as their coach, a heisman winning qb, and probably be 11-1, if not undefeated if they had stayed in the big 12. And besides, putting a beatdown on texas and that inexcusable defense would have paid even more recruiting dividends than the sec talking point has, easily. texas sucking + a good A&M team = a lot tougher texas recuiting for us, it doesnt matter who's in what conference.

In regards to el duderino's statement, I agree with all of it.....well, except the part about having the heisman winning qb. If they do not beat Bama, he does not win it, and if A&M is not in the SEC, they do not play Bama. So, the heisman part did have something to do with joining the SEC.

I call BS. ATM being in the SEC is a boost to recruiting just like their coach and QB is a boost.

Only a fool would think this imo. (not that you're a fool my friend). Texas kids who want to play in the SEC can now stay home. OF COURSE it will hurt us somewhat. Common sense here.
