Cut grass: 1 church and 6 other yards. I'm self employed (not the lawn service) so I knock off on Fridays at lunch and cut a few on Friday and a few in my subdivision on Saturday mornings. March - September usually nets me an extra 10k cash (Roth x 2).

What songs? How did you go about getting them to even listen?
I had a record deal back in the day on Interscope, got dropped like bad habit. in process My group was scouted pretty hard by Hollywood Records, it was between us and Plain White Tee's, guess who won? but remained good friends with President of a&r and after my debacled music career, kept writing and selling songs, got a couple top 40's in Austrailia, Japan, and Germany, but no chart toppers or mainstream acts here in US, so I'm a glorified jingle writer, just for the "shake it up" tween Disney crowd. My niece thinks I'm cool!
Also do a ton of placements for WB, Discovery, had the theme song to a dish network show about MySpace.
Parlayed that with Getty, also work with Fundamental, as I update my catalog they shop it to these type shows, get me spots. There's music in all these shows if you pay attention.
When these shows hit reruns, syndication on several networks, and go international is where you can make serious $ on royalties($2000-$3000 more than initial payment, spread out about a year)

I am fortunate, I don't need extra money anymore. (No, I am not wealthy, but I am comfortable) Years ago I delivered pizzas, mowed yards, took in a roommate, painted houses, collected aluminum cans, detailed cars.
Never did this, but I bet there is a demand to have someone clean rain gutters on houses - especially in older neighborhoods with a lot of established trees (leaves). Pretty easy work if you aren't afraid of heights. People would probably pay to have their windows washed. Also, heard of one guy who power washed driveways.
And of course, you can donate plasma.

Man seems like everyone does this, do you not feel like shite after?
Do they normally clear most people and allow them to donate? Was the process a bitch?

How much would you charge?

Some people may just want a wash, or just then inside. That's the beauty of you just asking around, you can negotiate whatever price you want.

I've seen guys run a detail thing at schools for the teachers. Bet they make bank

Was it pretty tough?
Just vacuum the inside and make it smell good?

I mowed lawns when I was in middle school but shite no one was paying me $50 a week

Wife and I live in the same subdivision we grew up in. I cut these lawns as a kid for like $20, now its $35-40/cut. I have a couple large lots that I charge 60-70, and the church I cut is 125. When the season is in full swing it's 300-350 a week for basically a half day's work. Hard to beat.

there are a ton of these companies.
you can also get paid 5.00 to do msytery shop phone calls and other misc tasks. Easy to pick up an extra 200+ a week.
oh and if you really want to make some serious $$$, you could do some "nude housecleaning work". Charge 100 per hour to do some light cleaning in the nude. There is a huge market for this (for both men and women)

Who can tell me about surveys? I've tried doing research on good ones but I never know who to trust
Posted on 12/13/12 at 2:13 am to wegotdatwood
yo wood, How'd your directTV sales gig go? Did you like making sales calls? Talking to complete strangers and making friends, the stress of having to sign a deal to get paid, etc.
Seems like you're looking to make some side cash, If you didn't absolutely hate doing sales, give me a shout. You work when you want, as much or little as you want. Just HMU and we'll chat.

Im not too sure about surveys. Ive signed up for sites like that but never could make enough for payout. If you are interested in making some extra money look into mystery shopping. I can send you some info for some legit companies I used to work for.
Many of them pay via check once or twice a month or paypal. Some are quick 30 minute shop trips where you may be asked to visit a restaurant and order an appetizer, main dish, and beverage. Most will reimburse you for the food and pay between 20-40 for the trip. Others are as simple as a quick trip to buy an item for 20.00 and then return it 30 minutes after. Some will allow you to keep the item and reimburse you for it as well. They pay around 15-20 for those. It isnt a ton of money but if you do 4 of those a day, it will add up!
Others are gigs such as shopping for a car. Those pay well, usually 25-50 bucks. After each shop you fill out a "survey" or basically just a list of questions such as:
Was the building clean? How long did it take for someone to greet you or offer to help you? Did they ask you for a test drive? etc etc etc.
Like I said, its easy to make 200 a week doing these types of things.
