Misleading.
The 1947 fight against Walcott is widely considered to be the biggest ripoff in boxing history. Walcott won that fight by any objective standard.
Also, look to see how many times Louis fought between 1941-1950.
Also note that Louis "retired" in 1949 before coming back to get a no decision against some guy named Johnny Schkor and then getting beat by Ezzard Charles.

And, to be clear, your statement has no bearing on the statement you quoted.
Ali in his prime would have absolutely made Joe Louis look silly. He was in a different category athletically. Taller, heavier, way way faster, better footwork, better defensively. It wouldn't have been a close fight.
