and OU held UF's high-powered offense, too

same with UO-Auburn in the 2010 final

the real head scratcher is 2009, when Bama was getting abused by UT early, and then they let a really shitty QB who was a true freshman burning his RS put up a lot of points

UF's offense was potent, but not anywhere near as good as OU's offense was in 2008.

Remember, OU ended the season (before the NCG) with 6 STRAIGHT games of 50+ points per game.

That is insane.

To me, the biggest WTF is Auburn's defense holding Oregon to 19 points. Auburn's defense was nowhere near that of UF's 08 or Bama's 09/11 defenses.

The 09 NCG was more of Bama thinking the game was over at 24-6 at halftime, rather than Texas playing well IMO.

Bama could've destroyed Texas by 30 if they didn't let off the gas.

like jacks said, and i said in this thread, a lot of that just has to do with coaches being scared

So they let off on defense? That's how a (shitty) true freshman QB got Texas back in the game?
