And what else is there? A raise 5 years out for meeting the stipulations of his current contract and that's it? If you believe that you're a tard. No offense.

If that was the case the AD would wait at least 3 years to re-evaluate his performance.

Salary escalation in general? Lots of openings and the possibility that Miles will be on the radar of schools looking for a new coach? Keeping him happy with a pre-emptive raise?
