quote:
Settlers of Catan, how may players?
Never heard until recently. Played Axis and Allies and Fortress America board game so something new would be good.
How interactive is it? In other words, is it a quiet game or can I pummel my opponent with derogatory remarks while I win?
base game is 3-4 players, with an expansion for 5-6.
and the trading for sheep/wood/wheat/stone/bricks allows for lots of fun interactions between players

If you like Settlers of Catan, you should try Kingdom builder. It is based on the same premise but the scoring changes game from game so it adds a strategic element to it. It's a great game that is very easy to learn and a lot of fun.
