Glad I'll be there in the summer. I'll be outside of Kenai, staying at a lodge.

Did a couple trips out of Valdeez a few years back. First week of July is a great time to go.

We used Sanity Charters. Great trips.

If yuor Captain puts you on fish, there isnt anything to catching them. Cut bait bounced on the bottom, start reeling when you get a fish on.

About the start of the second run, which begins in late June on the Kenai River. First week of July may be a bit early for Sockeye and the largest of the Kings but you will beat the worst of the crowds but still be prepared for "combat fishing."
