So you are pissed that a guy that had nothing to do with the sacking of the city, was not in command, gave no orders, and otherwise had no input in that battle asked a fellow general to spare the school that we all love because it was important to him?
I'm not really sure why that is a bad thing. You can hate on him for his perceived cruelty, but not for that.
