Well players that DID play in the pros, and play well, after HS don't really count

I watched all of those guys in person or on TV and thought they were all great. I also watched Ryan Harrow (overrated), Trevor Gaskins (lots of hype but I knew he wasn't very good) Robert Morrison (very meh) I played with Ralph Sampson III and always thought he could make it if he didn't always get hurt.

ETA: I get what you are saying now. But still I believed they could and they did

Marshall Faulk...

Because as a true freshman he ran for almost 1500 yards and people say...well it was the WAC...but in the first game of his sophmore season I watched him in person run all over USC...27 times for 220 yards and 3 touchdowns...8 yard per carry.

He was great and good size from day one.
