This is how I feel about it..

If he really leaves us for a worse program (worse in literally every way possible) just for money, we don't want him anyway. I'd rather have a coach who is devoted to the program.

Leaving for a better program (or the NFL) is a different story. But this is not the case, so it's not worth arguing.

But, it doesn't matter. He isn't going.

It's called leverage and free enterprise people. The man should get as much money as he POSSIBLY can. To do otherwise is idiotic. Whether this is an agent thing or not, he should parlay it into a raise. Market value is market value. If LSU doesn't want to pay it, then he walks.
