Will he be able to enroll for spring classes this year? I do not follow recruiting that much and am not sure how the juco route works.
Just curious if any one was tracking his progress towards becoming a Tiger for the next campaign.

Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to watching him try to get in the mix with Landry, Boone, and OBJ.

He's ready to roll.
If you check out his twitter page, he couldn't be more excited to help out the team. I think him not qualifying will turn out to be - not a good thing - but maybe a driving force to make him work even harder. I say this also because I don't think he would have gotten much PT this year. He probably would have been 4th on the depth chart at best. Now, he will be able to bust his arse in the spring when he joins the team with Rettig and Jennings and work his arse off and give us great depth.

Does he have some height?
We really could use a receiver with some height

Not much more than what we have now, thus the reason why he wouldnt have shot up the depth chart this year anyway.
ETA: Avery is 6'2" 180

This was in the article from the Artie Burns thread
" To top it off, Avery Johnson–2012 LSU wide receiver commitment from South Florida–was with him on his visit explaining all of the benefits of choosing LSU over Miami."
