When I was a younger man I got pretty steamed about some dog hunters poaching the property I was leasing. There was one local that time and again ran his dogs through the property. I warned him on a few occasions and told him eventually I'd kill one of his dogs. He was an indignant prick that gave me the whole I've been hunting here all my life story and he informed me that posted signs don't mean anything to him.

Low and behold I was hunting at least a mile into the property and here he comes with 5-8 hound dogs and a little beagle walking about 30 yards in front of him. I was fed up and drew up a 30-06 and busted that beagle's head like a pimple from 100 yards off.

Things got pretty heated and the law showed up. I felt really bad about it immediately after dropping the dog. I never saw the hunter again as he would probably kill me. Since then I simply ask if there are dog hunters anywhere near the lease and if the answer is yes I find a new lease.
