We know that our dogs leaving our property isn't a big deal, because the people who own the surrounding land do nothing but farm cane on it, and a deer hound on their property every now and then has zero bearing on their lives. Most of them hunt with us once or twice a year. We've been here since the 40's and have very good ties with our neighbors.

It sounds like you have everything in order and I hate it that the vast majority of dog hunters have ruined it for you.

Look I'm not a fan of banning anything involving hunting.

We have a ton of land, have been doing it forever, and have land that would make most people completely give up on deer hunting.

I'd like to think that people are smart enough to not run 14 walkers on a 200 acre high ground lease. The fact is they aren't. Ban them from running dogs, and they'll start doing something else that pisses you off.

Also, once you pass a ban on running dogs, what's next on the list? I promise you something else will be next.

This. You don't even really have a dog in this fight. I'll never understand why you want to mess up the peaceful nature of deer hunting but as long as your not messing up someone elses then go for it. It's people that screw up others hunting by running dogs that suck. Can you not go rabbit hunting when it's not deer season or something if you just love chasing dogs that much?
