Black Mouth Cur. Mine mostly lives inside with me but they are so sensitive they make really great womens dogs. They'are ALWAYS on guard. Wherever you are. But easily controlled. But scary as frick when they catch someone too close. The thing about them dying for you... I completely believe that based on mine.

Just a really intelligent all around useful dog and great pet.

This is why I recommended them if it was going to be the wife's dog. We had two of them growing up. Both were females and both were fearless and protective. Usually would display agressive but would be really friendly once they knew you were good with the person that was at the door. Had one of them bite through tires on vehicles on two occassions.
