According to Wikipedia, Cotton Bowl payout is $6.5MM, while Cap One is $4.25MM.

Cotton > Cap One

Plus, Cotton about to be one of the playoff bowls, while Cap One will not be.

Yeah, that's not right. Capital One is a combined 8.5, Cotton is 7.25.

But thanks to conference revenue sharing, payouts don't really matter. It's just personal preference. Traditionally, New Years Day bowls are the premier games. But that's not so much the case anymore.
