The Future better start reading some history, this movie will be a white washed version of the real Lincoln.
The idea for concentration camps comes from the American Civil War, where whole southern counties were in mass placed in camps in Arkansas and parts of Misouri on orders from the White House.
One of the biggest fans of Lincoln was A. Hitler, who said Lincoln didn't go far enough.
Burning cities took place down to the point of banks and ex Federal building were left standing while the rest of large areas where burn to the ground.
American soldiers, mostly the Genreals were getting rich off the cotton, as was the US government. Check out Genreal Banks and Butler's net worth before and after the Civil War and it is very easy to tell what is going on.
Mudering innocents can be brought up time and again in cases like Genreal Custer who while in Virginia would catch a local man and tell him to guide his troop clear of the Confederate soldiers and if they (the northern troops) ran into Southern troops Custer like many would hang the local person for leading them into a trap. This happened many times in many places.
Raping women happened but not very many times. This is the one thing neither side would put up with, but there are a few cases of this happening. Remember the Beast Bulter's famous order in New Orleans?
War is hell and I will enjoy the Lincoln movie, but I know walking in this will be a movie about a myth and not the real Lincoln.

Reading what you wrote below, I think it is you who need to read some history. You are either the biggest idiot or the biggest troll I have ever seen on this particular message board.

Are you talking about POW camps located in Missouri and Arkansas? The Confederacy had these as well. Both sides had camps with poor sanitation and a high mortality rate due to disease and malnourishment.

Might you be confusing Hitler with Josef Stalin who said Ivan the Terrible, a former Russian tsar, didn't go far enough when it came to purging his empire of potential enemies?

You do know that the Civil War was an actual war, don't you? The desolation of cities are common place, especially in a full-scale total war.

Why don't you check out guys like Benjamin Butler's history BEFORE the Civil War? Butler was one of the most powerful Northern Democratic politicians and was given a generalship precisely because of his wealth, power, and influence. Also..war profiteering is one of the most common practices and has occurred in every single American war since the Revolution.

You really do love to exaggerate and embellish, don't you? Union soldiers would not kill a civilian unless they had good evidence that said civilian was a Confederate spy. Leading Union troops into a Confederate ambush would be a good sign of that civilian being a rebel.

How does Benjamin Butler's General Order No. 28 have anything to do with the raping of women? The order, while stupid and unlawful by today's standards, had nothing to do with rape.

Wrong. They are based on the British POW camps from the Napoleanic Wars where 200,000 foreign troops were imprisoned on British soil from 1792 to 1818.
