They still had some shrimp running thru last week. Due to the storm, that is why there were so many. The storm washed all kinds of grass out the ponds which the shrimp was feeding on and growing fast.

The year of Katrina there was a ton of shrimp caught also.
The fish were really running that year also. In Venice, 4 of us caught our limit of specks in 45-50 minutes two days in a row. I think I could have caught like 5 times our limit if we wanted there were so many of them. We were just using plastic and they were all 14+ inch fish.
