A few things:

1. They have not improved facilities like most other major programs in the country.

2. They can't get some of these MS kids to qualify academically.

3. It's a small state that they have to split with MState. Should be a one state school.

4. Constant racism from the students/alumni.

And USM - USM has gotten the best in-state recruits the last 30 years due to lower admission standards and the best fan base of the 3.

yes they have. although their stadium isn't huge, the addition of suites & closing in of the south endzone are drastic upgrades. vaught-hemingway is not a bad stadium. it seems that many fans seem to think that a stadium is terrible unless it seats 90,000.
there are no bad seats, one of the nicest pressboxes & video screens in the sec, it's clean, and they installed field turn a few seasons back.
their indoor practice facility is extremely nice.

Constant racism from the students/alumni.

they've made strides. they've elected black student body presidents & recently had a black homecoming queen. prior to their kennedy, their previous two basketball coaches were black.
racism is at every school. i think it gets magnified more at ole miss because of the its past.

your other points are accurate.
i do hope they never rise above middle of the pack status.

1st- of all Ole Miss is one of the smallest schools in the SEC along with Vandy.

2nd- They have failed to land a great coach

3rd- The Rebel thing probablly hasn't hurt the program for in state talent as much as out of state talent. Nobody wants to leave florida or texas to come to an EVEN MORE racist place like like mississippi

Buge part of it. Smaller population than La, and can't recruit nationally.
