I've been a casual saints fan to say the least. But I really am considering going all in. I own no Saints apparel and have never been to a game. I want to change this. Will I be labeled a bandwagon fan? I'm born and raised here in Louisiana but just never got into the Saints. I've watched some games but not religously. Convince me why I should go all in. Also, would anyone like to take me to a game? I have a van so I'll drive.

This is a good season to become a Saints fan and not be considered a bandwagoner.

But you can't cut and run as soon as things go South.

I've been a die hard since I was 6. Honestly, I'm not sure what will make you go "all in." Once the bug bites you, you're sick. Maybe, just maybe, going to a game will flipped the switch. I know a couple of season tickets holders on here are into van rape. Good luck.

My question would be, were you a football fan before? Or did you just casually watch some games? If you were a fan of a different team, you can't jump from ship to ship.

I've watched the Saints since I was about 8. Even tho they sucked I was dedicated. My son is now 8. And when it was his bedtime Monday night, instead of putting on Cartoon Network, he put on MNF. I could hear him from across the house screaming at the TV. Proud moment for me. Any other night I would have went make him turn off the tube. lol.

But honestly, stick around here.

I learned tons about football from these guys.
The fandom here can really be sincere.

Just don't be that guy who goes shopping with his wife wearing a Saints jersey while the Saints are playing.

If you become a fan this year, you will not likely be called a bandwagon fan.

However, if you have to be talked into being a Saints fan, then you may not be made of the material needed to be a Saints fan.

We're a tough bunch who rely on each other to make it through tough times. And there have been tough times. The 1980 season, Dave Wilson, Ditka, Alex Molden over Eddie George, Jonathan Sullivan over Marcus Trufant, Katrina/Aaron Brooks season and now 'bountygate' and the 2012 defense. But I know as a Saints fan I'm tough enough to take it. And I know I've got other die hard fans who feel the ups and downs the same way I do. I know that the Saints are the soul of one of the most special city's on the face of this earth. A place where people are connected regardless of who they are. And when the times are right, we are together in moments of orgasmic proportions. The good times are grand! Our first playoff apperance in 1987, Hakiem's fumble in 2001 for our first playoff victory, Steve Gleason's punt block to reopen the dome on Monday night against the Falcons, Drew Brees, Duece's touchdown on MNF to become the leading scorer in Saints history, Meachem's strip and score against Washington, the onside kick against the Colts at halftime, the Lombardi Trophy and Brees' consecutive passing record. We live and die and love with these moments...

I would suggest going to a game...then sobering up...then look in the mirror and asking yourself if you have what it takes to be a Saints fan.

Are you the kind of cocksucker who would come here to bash Mark Ingram only because he was celebrating his alma mater's success on the sideline.

If yes...frick OFF!!!

If no...welcome aboard, assclown!

Hi.

I am late to this thread. Also, i havent seen a "let me introduce myself to Saints Talk" thread maybe ever. I am very excite to be here.

Can you answer a few questions for us?

What is your opinion on Mark Ingram?

What is your opinion on drafting LSU players?

What is your opinion of our season so far, and why did you pick this season to go all in?

Do you like to start threads when there is already a similar thread on the front page?

How long have you been lurking this site?

Do you enjoy saying things like "LSU lost, so now im here to be nice unless the Saints lose also, in which case i will troll my arse off"?

Do you honestly think you could make an effort to separate your NFL fanhood from you college fandhood?

Of all the poster here, why did you choose Paddycakes and Chad as the most knowledgeable?

Why do you drive a van?

Why did you offer said van to strangers on the internet?

Be honest, is it a rape van?

Where in the world did you find a picture of Willy J?

How often do you have complete and total meltdowns during and after games?

Whose alter are you?

Let me put it to you this way:

It has never been easier and probably will never be easier to be a Saints fan than now. We are smack dab in the middle of the greatest era of Saints football ever. If you can't love em now, you never have and never will.
