Ok, the "champions bowl" (soon to be called the Sugar Bowl) will be a completely new bowl game which matches up the SEC champion vs. the Big XII champion, unless one of those teams is in the new 4 team playoff.
The game "formerly known as the Sugar Bowl" will be rotated in as part of the playoff sites.
Essentially the Sugar Bowl committee will host the "champions bowl" and then a separate game when the "Sugar Bowl" is selected to host a playoff game.

Yeah.....this is MUCH less confusing and SO much better then the BCS.
