Onme fault is underestimated, in my view , and that is his STUBBORNNESS. Les could address the mistakes he repeats over and over by relying on the imput of other coaches. I fhe would do that, his outstanding record could be even better.

i agree. my biggest critisism of miles is as you state. i like and believe in the power running game but there are situations that that it is going to get shut down, esp by a team built to stop the run; bama, florida, etc. miles has a different definition of the "game beitn on the line". at the end of the bama game we had the ball with a small lead. yes, our d had shut them down in the entire second half but i would have liked to see him throw a pass because the bama d lined up to stuff the run and they did. that meant we let them get the ball back and they ultimately won the game. miles stubborness in that situation leads to his tendencies beitn too strong and he needs to break those tendencies somethimes. i'll bet chavis can tell him about his offensive tendencies.

LSU, under les miles, is nationally respected and recognized as an elite program.

LSU football under Miles is at a level LSU football has never before known for a 7+ year period of time.

National rankings of #5, #3, #1, #17, #8, #2, and currently BCS#7 in a 7+ yr period of time is rarefied air that this football program or any major LSU sport has NEVER breathed before.

When the best one can offer as criticism is, "we can/should do better" without a statement to the fact that we are better than ever before and one of the most elite college football programs in the game today for the most part of the past 7+ yrs, then said criticism is little more than cover for the college football mentally challenged gang to push an agenda against a HC for their own pity reasons. imo

To say Miles makes mistakes or he has this short coming or that one is both news to know one and is not being able to see the forest for the trees cause above all that is the fact LSU football is more successful than ever before and Top 5 in the nation for success during Miles career.

that's my perspective as well. miles makes mistakes and deserves critisism for those mistakes. what get's my goat is that a good bit of what some call "mistakes" are not mistakes at all. they are hindsight. that's ok; fans do that. but some fans critisism him for everything. at all times. they never give him a pass, even when we win. it's just over the top and contains much vitriol. but i guess that's the way it is with some. it's kind of like the guy that is criticised for not doing something and then when he does it is critisised for not doing it earlier. and then that critisism never goes away; it becomes a permanent mistake in some minds. overall, LSU is in great shape and if we can continue to improve our offense we can win it all.
