I haven't had a chance to watch the replay of Bama's winning drive, but I don't think it was a true "prevent" defense.

Chief was bringing outside blitzes on every play, thinking he had McCarron in a must-pass situation and that if we sat him down just once we'd run out the clock. Unfortunately, our corners kept giving them the outside completions for a 1st down and to stop the clock, and McCarron was superb in taking that.

If we'd have got him on even one of those blitzes, we'd have had a different outcome and be calling it coaching genius.

And the fake field goal, and the 54 yard field goal, and the onside kick, and not playing hard to get that last first down that would have ended the game.

So did I. But looking at the replays of that last drive, Norwood was adequately covered on 2 of the 3 passes he caught. He looked pretty free on the last pass, but the other two were just great executions by QB and WR. Like someone else said—last Saturday showed that Bama is beatable ... and why they're unbeaten.
