Rolling start my arse those frickers flat out cheat. In the Dome vs WM they didn't get set one single play and the refs didn't flag them once.

It is something that has always been done. Being someone who has played for Acadiana, you either have a sweep play on down or a regular play on 1. The quickness of the count has been in place as long as the offense has, and was done like that to offset the size difference (acadiana had small offensive lines back in the day) and to maximize the speed at which the linemen get off the ball, which are critical in a veer offense.

ETA: Coach Davidson could very well be the best offensive line coach in the state. Just thought I'd give him props and he is doing a hell of a job as head coach. He really is and has been the oil that runs the veer machine.

I think Davidson is a fantastic coach and a really nice man to visit with

If the Reffs throw the early illegal procedure flag the rams adjust, if the Reffs don't they will hammer you

This was one of the unspoken differences in the 2010 match ups between STM and AHS. In the week five game the Reffs were Lafayette Association and AHS couldn't push the issue with the rolling start. In the semi finals the crew was neutral and AHS pushed the issue and the Reffs allowed it.

No sour grapes here, That is just great coaching by Davidson in my book.

We have slow receivers so I think we'll let them get a 10 yard running start to offset their lack of speed. Oh that's not legal? Who cares?
