Awesome post.
Lost my Dad 10/28/08 and my Mom four months later 3/4/09. One of the most difficult things I've ever dealt with in my life.
My Dad was a Baton Rouge High grad Class of '38, Army Air Corps in WWII and a life-long Tiger Fan. He was a marshall in the student section for 20+ years from the late 60's through the early 80's. Though there was a great age difference between us (I was adopted) one of the things we shared with great passion and pride was LSU football. A couple months before he passed, the assisted living facility he and my Mom were living at brought all of the men on a bus tour of LSU athletic facilities. He was 87 at the time and hadn't worked a game in many years. He hadn't seen all of the improvements to the stadium, athletic complex, practice fields etc. He was truly like a kid at Christmas. I'll always remember having that conversation with him and hearing all of the amazement in his voice.
Here's to you both, Mom and Dad.

Dad. February 2009. Die-hard Tiger fan. Even through the Arnsparger, Archer,Hallman, and DiNardo years.
Despised Bama with all his heart. Hopefully he'll be sitting on the goalposts helping the Tigers out on Saturday.
He might have been buried as a US Marine...but he still had on his LSU P&G underneath.
Miss you a lot ole Man.
