re: A Question to the Old Timers - Is the Vibe Similar to USC circa 79

I was a freshman at LSU in that year, i.e. fall of 1979 and had a speech class with former QB at Broadmoor High School Dale Begue. He was playing defensive back at LSU at the time though not starting his freshman year. I remember him talking in class that USC was about the best team he had ever seen on film and that included the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburg Steelers who were the premiere NFL football teams at the time. Didnt sit in the Student Section that night as I sat in my Dad's season ticketes. Without a doubt one of the loudest games I have ever attended. I remember walking up the ramps on the West side to go to Section 12 , Row J , Seates 29 and 30 and could absolutely hear the stadium buzzing with loudness as I was walking towards the seats. I would imagine this game is beginning to have the same feelings as that game for this Ole Timer.
