I was also at that game with my mom. LSU was not nearly as talented. The program was good but not dominant and the team came across is fighters who gave their all but were not great athletes. We were trying to climb the mountain at that time but now we have arrived and continue to be a force. It may sound crazy but I expect us to win Saturday but back then I just wanted us to stay close. The common thread is respect from both games.

I agree with an earlier poster fans then were better now we have social fans they buy the tickets to be hip!

I listened on the radio I was a freshman at an LSU system school it was so loud you could not hear the radio announcers .

That would not happen today to many social fans, they sit and chat with freinds and socialize. Some have gotten offended when I yell for the tigers !!!
