Optimism for the Tigers on Saturday

With all the negatigers spewing their misery and pessimism on the Rant, I think it is time for Tiger fans to be more positive and have a little faith in the coaching staff. We are an extremely talented team with a ton of upside who have sustained some very key injuries and dismissals particularly on the offensive side of the ball. I believe the coaching staff will step up to their fullest potential this Saturday. I have complete faith and am positive that the coaching staff will keep the same game plan that has lead us to a 7-1 record. And as a result we will continue to play Les Miles football this Saturday.

I have great confidence in the defense. The Chief will have his proverbial "ducks in a row" when it comes to taking care of his side of the ball. I dont believe the Gumps can score more that 10-14 on us. As for the offense, well, I just don't know.

This is SEC football, anything can happen on any given Saturday. LSU at home at night. Have some pride in who you are Tiger Nation. LSU being this overlooked is the best thing that could have happened.

Exactly.... I love the chip on the shoulder. I hated all the attention, they were getting during the offseason, and all the talk about how great Mett would be.... I was scared the team would get the big head.

Let's hope that the chip is enough to play sharp and reduce the penalties and turnovers. Since there are two very good defenses, I believe these are where the game is going to be won/lost.

Even championship teams play bad games. If Bama is going to have a let down game, this is likely to be it. All LSU needs to do is win the turnover battle.

If they score 10-14 points that means they win by 10-14 points

Since 2009, Alabama is .500 on the road against teams that finished ranked in the final BCS standings. 2 wins at Penn State and Arkansas, 2 losses at LSU and USCe.
Over that same time half of Alabama losses have come from LSU.
The teams that beat Alabama were all run heavy teams:
2010 USCe - 37 rushes, 20 passes
2010 LSU - 45 rushes, 20 passes
2010 Auburn - 41 rushes, 20 passes
2011 LSU - 41 rushes, 17 passes

Well then we have a 50/50 chance at victory this weekend. That is much better than most people think. I'll take it.
