LSU Hoops depth chart?

I know we are still in football season but we have a bye week and the 1st hoops contest is in just 13 days.
Who knows about how practices have been going and can give up an up-to-date depth chart?

PG Hickey Collins may see both at times
G Stringer Morgan Carmouche (defense)
F Coleman Hammick
F Ludwig Courtney (injury issues)
Post O'Bryant Del Piero (will need at least five hard fouls from him)

Thanks...
How is JJ going to "run and gun" with 2 slow white guys as starters?

I don't think this team needs to playing half court games because they will get exposed big time especially down low
It's going to be a long season but at least post help is on the way
You can't replace Hamilton the way he left. Losing Turner is probably no big deal because they still have some capable guards - I do think Turner could've been an asset in this system

Hard to put a depth chart on this team, because so many guys will have to play out of position.
I think this team will be more of a combination team than a depth chart team.
I think your four set starters will be Hickey, Stringer, Ludwig, O'Bryant, with Jalen Courtney pushing Ludwig at the four, if he's healthy.
Then you'll see either Coleman or Morgan at the three, with Morgan being a third guard in those sets and Coleman being more of a forward.
Courtney and Ludwig could also do time together. Morgan can play the two.
Stringer can play the 1 but probably won't.
Hammink isn't physically ready but will have to play some. Del Piero will eat minutes.
Carmouche will play some two and guard some three if Jones teams up Stringer/Hickey, Hickey/Collins, Collins/Stringer, Hickey/Morgan, etc.
The best "depth chart" I could give would be this:
1. Hickey, Collins, Stringer, Carmouche
2a and 2b. Rotations of Stringer, Morgan, Carmouche, Hickey
3/4: Rotations of Ludwig, Courtney, Coleman, Hammink
Post: O'Bryant, Ludwig, Del Piero

Who are the two slow white guys?
Ludwig will outrun most fours. Del Piero will not start.

My bad...2 slow white guys in the 2 deep...and Ludwig is slow...watch when they play decent teams and how the game is too fast for him...

Agreed. Lets hope the 2 slow white guys hustle to make up for it.
I like the run and gun style however I think it will have more success next year w/ the talent coming in

JJ really likes him. I like Morgan better in terms of talent, but Carmouche is more experienced.
He'll probably get the nod over Morgan, to be fair. But I'm just high on Morgan. Sweet stroke, long arms, strong, gets to the rim.
Carmouche will be a catch and shoot guy, a defender, and a ball handler. Not sure he can get to the rim or pull up.

i think he's a squad guy that could start at the 2 as stringer is better suited to come off the bench. morgan is a young talent but probably not a guy you start from day 1. work him in gradually. same with hammink. i could see plenty of hickey/collins playing together.

I don't see Carmouche supplanting Stringer.
Maybe in certain matchups, but I'd see a Hickey, Stringer, Carmouche three guard set as a likelier scenario.
I don't think this team will be as bad as people are saying. I think Hickey is the real deal. If he and O'Bryant are healthy, they'll be more competitive than they are being given credit for.
Outside of KY, Missouri, Florida, and maybe Tenn, a healthy LSU should be able to beat anyone else in the SEC on any given night. And even those teams will be beatable.

Why not? What exactly is Stringer good at? Carmouche is bigger and a better shooter.

I know TJ liked to play Bass and move Hickey to the two, and he's good there, but keep him on the ball as much as you can. If you want to rest him on the floor, fine, but he's so so much better on the ball.
But you will see them together, especially with the lack of depth in the side.
I think Morgan is far more ready than Hammink. In practices we've watched, Hammink just gets muscled out too much. Morgan, on the other hand, does plenty of muscling.

Carmouche isn't a better shooter. He shot for higher percentages because he doesn't take as many bad shots, but Stringer has a quicker release and purer stroke.
If Stringer takes better shots under Jones, he'll play more. And I think in this offense, he'll get better looks and won't force so many terrible shots.

I don't expect Stringer to start. He needs to play with Collins on the floor. The backcourt is just way too small with Stringer and Hickey on the floor. I expect Stringer to be more of a 6th man scoring threat this season.

johnny said on the radio a couple weeks ago that he saw stringer coming off the bench as a gunner. that may have changed as they've begun practice and he may be the best option. i don't know. i'm with you on morgan though. really like him.

That's a pretty big if considering his shot selection seems to have gotten worse not better so far in his career. I hope you're right but some guys never figure it out and he needs to raise his shooting % a LOT. Also, all that matters is if the ball goes in the hoop and Carmouche has shown a much better ability to do that so far.
