I honestly think they were throwing so that it opened some things up for the run later in the game.

If it worked - great. If it didn't - then at least it helps to keep them honest.
I thought that too. But they never did back off the LOS, where we were winning even with them stacking it. Luckily though, no picks today. I'd LOVE for Mett and his WRs to get on the same page. I'd LOVE to see the TEs more involved. But like I said, it's nearly November. Too late. Run the damn ball, especially when it's WORKING.

it would be nice to see lsu run some of the routes that some of the other teams run such as south carolina, florida, bama, kstate ... some scissors, rub routes, button hooks ... or, actually i've been waiting to see the wr screen to shepard like the td play against arkansas last year in the second quarter

Up 17-12, driving, with the crowd out of it, we were in control.

Not sure what game you watched. Would've worn them down had we kept pounding, but we were going 3 and out trying to pass the ball around

Rummy, considering the missed FG, that looks like first half possessions. I'm talking about the 2nd half, when they finally let Hill play. We were dominating at the LOS. Then they stopped running him and went to the pass or the "Warecat". Dominance over. Showing me punts and missed FGs doesn't in any way show we should've been passing 29 times. In fact, it's likely BECAUSE we were passing, we had to punt so much.

Can't be one dimensional against bama. Mett needs as much work as possible.

This. But we started passing again.

Sorry Rummy, but when DL has their hands on their hips, KEEP RUNNING.

So sick of hearing that. We beat Bama 2 times in a row with a one dimensional offense. Lack of the whole team showing up is why we lost against Bama in January.

Up by 5 and in control... Ha.

BTW, when we were up 17-12, we only had one other 3 and out -= and that was three RUNS.

1st and 10 at TA&M 49 Jeremy Hill rush for 2 yards to the TexAM 47. 24 19
2nd and 8 at TA&M 47 Timeout TEXAS A&M, clock 01:13.
2nd and 8 at TA&M 47 Jeremy Hill rush for no gain to the TexAM 47.
3rd and 8 at TA&M 47 Timeout LOUISIANA STATE, clock 0:27.
3rd and 8 at TA&M 47 Zach Mettenberger rush for 2 yards to the TexAM 45.
4th and 6 at TA&M 45 Timeout TEXAS A&M, clock 00:21.
4th and 6 at TA&M 45 Brad Wing punt for 27 yards, downed at the TexAM 18.

What game were YOU watching?

Man, I know what you're saying, but no...Mett is the best we have. The huddles seemed more crisp and efficient? He handed the ball off a couple times. That's it.

OK, not 3 and out. We were driving, THEN changing over to pass plays and THEN punting.

I know this. We performed better when running the ball, and moreso in the second half. Anyone wanna argue that?

I thought the missed FG was earlier, but OK. What your possessions don't show is play selection. I'd like to find out how many passes we attempted in the 2nd half.

The numbers 11-29 for 97 yds are more telling than anything anyone has put up to this point.

Rivers? He's thrown one pass, and it was thrown OOB, and interference was called on the play. Or defensive holding.

Not true.

If we look at my theory, then really you only have an issue with the first two drives of the second half, which, honestly, could have helped us later in the half with getting their asses out of the box.

Please...

One fumble return for a TD, one pick-six...and you're losing.

So, no, not "in control".

Did we have the momentum...yes.
