I accept the fact that we lost the game, there's really no denying it. But now that I've had some time and space from that horrifying event, I still really don't understand how or why we were forced to play Bama a second time. Do you remember watching ESPN that night and the weeks prior to the selection? It was almost comical how they pushed an pushed for the rematch.
I get LSU and Bama might have been the two best teams, but how can you force us to beat a team we already had in the regular season? At their place no less. The best team doesn't always get to play for it all, see the Saints or Packets last year.

the only reason it really bothers me is that i'm not 100% sure we would've went if roles were reversed.

espn would cite the rematches in the past that fell flat as well as non conf winners in the past that went to the NC to use against us. and people would say "you ahve to win your conference to go to the NC"
and that would be that. they'd bill the high octane OSU offense against the bama D and that would've been the game.

i want to believe that we would've gone, but i don't know if we would've been campaigned for like bama was.
