When ducks are all facing the same direction they are scared and ready to fly away. I have some tied to the back.

This, AND they will likely be facing into the wind for a few reasons.
1. If they heard something, it would more likely come from the upwind direction.
2. It is much easier for them to lift into the wind.
If you have them all tied in the front. they will face into the wind.
