Lastly, what brand of cigarettes would you recomend to pair up with this?

For real? Never heard of them. But those seem about par for the course on the F&DB. Couldnt just recomend Camels or Benson & Hedges

I don't really know if it pairs up well with your wine but American Spirit uses 100% additive-free tobacco. They smoke a lot longer than other brands. The perique blend is tobacco grown in St. James Parish.

I think Kendall Jackson is pretty good. But in the $20-$25 range, my favorite wine is...

Both. I am a very much a Francophile appreciator of wines, it was them that gave the LOVE (no whites please unless as a part of a recipe) for wines it started long ago and I was able to impress the wife and friends with the pairings that I can produce between food and wines. If I was in charge the praise was a bit high, and I am not blowing my horn. If you can find it a bottle of Chateau de Beycheval from Bourdeaux will kick arse.
How can you claim to appreciate wine the French way but totally disregard whites?
That's stupid. The French love their reds, whites, sparkling, and roses.
The "red wine" snob is a purely American phenomenon, and it's idiocy.

Nothing idiotic about me liking reds much more than whites...and I certainly don't even care for the more trendy styles of reds. To each his own. I cook with some whites and don't mind a glass that's leftover. I'm just not going to buy it for that purpose.

I'm with you Otis, I'd rather drink an average Cabernet than a great Chardonnay......

A few things:
1. Whoever mentioned the Mondavi wines from Napa was right.
2. I've gone through a few bottles of Cabernet from Franciscan, and they were very good.
Another cab that's wonderful in the $20-$25 range is from Penley Estates. You owe it to yourself to try it.
For those who like big, Zinfandel based blends,
"The Vault" from Bank Note is pretty good.
And, I don't purchase a lot of white wine, but I do like the Chardonnay from Newton. It's quality stuff.

I would add Sebastiani Cab to the sub-$20 daily drinker mix. Very good.
Double-yes to the St. Francis wines, as they have had a good supply of 2007 and 2008 in the recent year, which has been a nice, more-mature option than the also-good 2009 offerings mentioned (i.e. 14 Hands).
