NBC was showing The Natural on rotation before the World Series so they had tape of Redford's famous last at bat with the lights going out.
After Gibson's home run, someone taped "Roy Hobbs" to Gibson's locker and the next day before the start of game 2 - NBC aired a spliced video of The Natural and Gibson's at bat together as one scene with the celebration and music and rounding the bases. It was great...haven't ever been able to find it again.

My ability to follow a 162 game season has waned a bit over the years. But I still love postseason baseball.
I won't put it up against the greatest of all time, but game 6 of last years series is certainly tops in recent memory.
