Sorry, but this is totally false. Arkansas will require you to file a nonresident income tax return and pay tax. All states with an income tax require nonresident workers to file and pay tax.

Actually, I would think your employer would be required to withhold Arkansas income tax from your wages.

I live in Alabama and work in Georgia. I have Georgia tax withheld from my check. I have no income in Alabama and I have never had to pay them anything. Of course I still have to file a return with them but I've never had to pay. I only pay Georgia taxes.

Hope that helps. I'm sure it will be pretty similar for you.
