I just find that Miles was willing to take more chances during his first couple of years because he had nothing to lose and no record to protect. Since then he has become more conservative it seems because of all the heat and ridicule he took during the first few years for what some in the media considered questionable calls that made him look stupid. It didn't seem to affect him at the time but in hindsight I believe he was hurt by the ridicule he took over some of his calls and so now plays by the book a lot more and seems to be too predictable.
