I skimmed it and found the decision to leave out Episode 1 pretty dumb. As the writer mentioned, 2 & 3 are grossly inferior to the original trilogy (meaning 4-6). To just leave off episode 1 because it's not a good movie pretty much means you have to ask why you don't just omit the entire prequel trilogy. It's an arbitrary decision. I haven't watched any Star Wars film in probably 5+ years, but when they gross my mind I pretty much pretend the prequel trilogy never happened.

He made the argument that omitting Episode 1 didn't impact the understanding of the story arc. He said he thought it was actually somewhat superior to Episode 2. He discusses how the overall story arc ties better introducing the universe and showing Luke's training and following that up with Anikan's (sp?) training and turn to the dark side.

He makes some interesting points, specifically around continuity of how the characters looked and how Luke acted at the beginning of Jedi. It is hard to know how effective it would be to watch the series in that order since I have already seen all of them.
